Justin J. Sheffield also known as Jroc or Jroc Obama is a very unique artist. Born in Dallas, Tx, at a young age he recognized his passion for music. Being captivated by rhythms and instruments, he seeked to be able to craft rap patterns schemes and create a different sound. With a preference for East coast music, he learn to focus a lot on lyrics and different styles. In his garage, with two radios, (one to play instrumentals on and the other to record vocals) he practiced on the art of being able to freestyle. This became an attribute that he often displayed anytime the opportunity presented itself. Later he progress to actually going to recording studios and doing songs that were full of energy and word-play. As soon as he reached his adult years he started to perform with his group named Front-Line. With awesome songs such as “I’m Flyy”, “Scotty Beam Me Down” and “Front-Line” they won several contest at open mics and other venues around the city. Also winning a spot opening for Lil Webbie in Ft. Worth. Jroc worked real close with an Indie Icon of the city named Kuwn Dalini. He received a lot of wisdom and business savvy from Kuwn and grew to respect and work in partnership with Kuwn. Hosting different events such as Trinity Sports Cafe open mics, where he also got a chance to display his skill. Justin’s musical influences include Jay-Z, Ja Rule, Chammillionaire and many other lyrically inclined artist. Justin has also worked with a local artist by the name of The GatorMain, who’s has become an icon in the city of Dallas. GatorMain has worked with UGK, Hurricane Chris, Chammillionaire and a long list of other rappers in the industry. JRoc has several videos on YouTube directed and filmed by KHouston Videos, an up and coming videographer from Dallas. Currently, Jroc is working on EP projects with LilShunOndaBeat and Curt McGurt. You can expect witty lyrics and energy on these projects. Pay close attention to this young artist, he will be someone major in the near future!!!
